THE MARLBORO DIFFERENCE: EDUCATION WITH A PURPOSE
Marlboro College is a community of visionary individuals who devote their collective talents toward shaping a better world. We believe that personal and professional advancement proceeds from a deep understanding of ourselves and an appreciation of how individual actions impact the lives of others.
Our effective learning model is designed to help you balance academics with work and life priorities. For our management and education technology programs, in-person classes meet for once a month for weekend residencies at our beautiful Marlboro, Vermont, campus. Our TESOL program meets for an 8-week summer residency in Marlboro, and our Teaching for Social Justice meets every Saturday during the schoolyear. Between those in-person sessions, your education continues with guided field-based learning and virtual discussions.
DEVELOPING COURAGEOUS LEADERS
Our graduate offerings in education and management merge theory with practice in concentrations designed to anticipate emerging business and pedagogical needs. To maximize their growth, students are encouraged to be who they are – and become who they want to be – by learning, discussing, creating, and collaborating with others. For this reason, our faculty urge students to approach every new challenge from a position of empathy. By identifying closely with their fellow educators, entrepreneurs, and community members, students embrace the principles of co-creation, which enable them to devise the tools and techniques needed to transform innovative concepts into tangible benefits. Through these efforts, students gain the capacity to exhibit courageous leadership by bringing an ethical framework to their professional practice.
EDUCATION
Our MA in Teaching programs provide the skills and knowledge to reignite teachers’ passion, dedication, and drive to lead and inspire.
MANAGEMENT
Our MS in Management and MBA students become effective leaders equipped to make strong, ethical business choices that create lasting positive impact.
LEADERSHIP
The master trainers and consultants at the Center for New Leadership transform mission-driven organizations using the same philosophy and values that drive our degree-granting programs.
