Areas of Care Long-Term Care


What is it?




The Royal’s long-term care program, at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre on Carling, provides an innovative, specialized environment that supports and enhances the quality of life of adults with stable mental illness or physical limitations, and other individuals who may benefit from a home-like environment.





The facility includes four resident home areas of 16 residents each, to provide care and support to a range of unique program needs.



Treatment


The Royal’s Long-Term Care facility offers a wide range of services and programs designed for the comfort and well-being of residents, including:

24-hour nursing and medical care;Recreation, leisure and therapy programs; Meal service;Dental care;Pastoral care;Personal laundry service;Hairdressing and barber services; andOther daily living activities and programs.

Admission to long-term care is coordinated by the Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC): 613.745.5525.
