MBA (Business Administration)

The Sprott MBA delivers a high quality management education with the choice and flexibility to fit your program to your individual goals. There are full and part-time program streams with an integrated core curriculum, complemented by specialization in one of five concentrations. The Sprott MBA core courses cover a cross-section of business disciplines to give you a foundation of integrated knowledge and skills needed to identify and solve complex management problems.

Collaborative specializations in African Studies and Data Science (Business Analytics) are also available.

MBA Accelerated Stream

Students who have completed, in the past five years, a four-year bachelor’s degree in business from a recognized Canadian university, or equivalent; and have a minimum overall average of B+ (in addition to the regular Sprott MBA admission requirements), maybe be eligible for the Accelerated MBA.

MA/MBA Pathway


Available as of the Fall, 2016 term, a dual-degree MA/MBA pathway will allow a student to obtain both an MA in Economics (with a concentration in Financial Economics) and an MBA (with a concentration in Finance and Economics) in 20 months. This dual-degree enables students to combine the theoretical and quantitative orientation of the Economics MA program with the MBA’s focus on managerial applications and management skills. Application Deadlines


The Sprott School of Business strongly recommends that domestic candidates submit their applications before May 15 for domestic students in order to be considered for admission to the Fall term. Applications may be considered until July 31 only if space remains in the program. International candidates must submit complete applications before March 31.
Only domestic part-time candidates will be considered for admission to the Winter term.
