COURSEWORK


Our program is tailored to meet your specific needs. You have the flexibility to complete your degree at your own pace as either a full-time or part-time student. You could earn your degree within one year if you meet certain requirements.

Two start dates a year: September or January
The option to petition to replace some required courses with electives
Accelerated and summer classes are offered

Requirements: Two foundational courses and 10 other courses: six core courses and four electives. If you waive some core courses, you need to replace them with electives.

Curriculum: After taking core accounting courses to learn foundational financial skills, you can choose more advanced courses to build a deeper and broader knowledge base. Classes emphasize putting skills into practice; you conduct in-depth case studies and group projects based on real accounting scenarios.

Embodying the Graduate School of Management’s mission, classes incorporate topics of ethics and social responsibility. For example, in Financial Accounting & Reporting, you examine factors that contribute to corporate fraudulent behavior and discuss current news related to ethical issues. In Accounting & Finance for Sustainability, you review social responsibility reporting for public companies around the world.
