Welcome to Academic Support and Advising (ASA)!

On behalf of the faculty and staff in ASA, I am delighted to welcome you to our office website. We are a comprehensive academic success office with services for first-year, transfer, and continuing students. Your success is our mission!

New Student Orientation

Designed to support the transition of new incoming first-time freshman, transfer, and non-traditional students.

Advising Services

Provide individualized academic advising to students on academic probation or suspension and exploring (undeclared) students.

Tutoring

Provides free peer-led tutoring services and academic skills sessions to UNC students enrolled in undergraduate-level courses.

University 101

Academic program designed to help students successfully navigate the challenges and expectations of being an undergraduate student.

Group and Individual Study Skills

Workshop sessions providing the space to engage in active learning and how to manage academics in college.

Center for Human Enrichment

CHE is a TRiO funded program that offers academic and personal support to 200 identified and selected first-generation and limited income students at UNC.

Academic Bridge

Provides advising and academic coaching for target populations (Denver Scholarship Foundation Scholars, Independent, and First Generation students,).

Student Athlete Academic Success
Monitors and assists in the academic activities of all student athletes in partnership with key academic offices and programs across campus.
