Capella University’s MSW program has achieved candidacy status with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). CSWE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the United States. With curriculum aligned to CSWE standards, the Capella MSW will prepare students for state licensure eligibility.

Take a Direct Path to Your Goals
Invest your time and money building the skills you need to fulfill your passion for helping others. Our five-day, credit-bearing MSW residency links social work theory to practice and helps you prepare for your future. The DSW program includes a doctoral capstone in which you will investigate key social work issues and determine how to address them through an action research or program evaluation project. You'll complete a residency experience to help you progress in your capstone. The residency provides the benefit of face-to-face interaction, support, and feedback with peers and faculty—and some costs are included in your tuition.
