The Hyatt Regency Bethesda is located at One Bethesda Metro Center, Bethesda, Maryland, 20814. We will provide shuttles between the hotel and the NIH in the morning and afternoon on March 27th and 28th. Attendees also have the option to travel between the two locations by metro (stops are convenient to both the hotel and the NIH) or by taxi. A mesothelioma Advocacy Day will be held on March 29th.

The Symposium is geared to attendees from all walks of life, including patients and their families, advocates, medical professionals, and those who have lost loved ones to mesothelioma. The Symposium provides a setting for everyone in the mesothelioma community to come together and take part in both scientific sessions and community conversations.
Medical Professionals
In addition to our science and treatment sessions for the general public, the 2017 Symposium will include a two-day special session for scientists and medical professionals. PLEASE NOTE: This session is only available for medical professionals, scientists, and researchers working within the field of mesothelioma at a medical institution. Mesothelioma experts will come together to share their work and find collaboration opportunities in an effort to speed up mesothelioma advances. The scientists and medical professionals in attendance will be available during sessions common to both groups, such as lunches and dinners, to answer any questions and to socialize. Posters
Researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts to be displayed and presented at the Symposium. The poster presentations will take place on Tuesday, March 28 between 5:30 - 7 PM. Click here for more information.
Awards Dinner
The Awards Dinner will be held at 7PM on Monday, March 27. For all conference attendees, the dinner is included with the registration fee. Tickets can also be purchased independently of conference registration. In this year’s Awards Dinner program book, the Meso Foundation is offering ad space for purchase to individuals and organizations who wish to honor the award recipients. To purchase ads, click here.
Live Stream
Though we would love to see everyone in person, we realize that mesothelioma patients aren't always able to travel. Patients (or anyone else interested) can learn about the latest mesothelioma treatment options by watching most Symposium presentations through our broadcast, live streamed through the internet. Connecting to the live stream is easy and free of charge. You only need a computer (tablets and smartphones will also work) and an internet connection. While watching, viewers will even be able to ask questions while at home.
